Pandemonium as the selection of the Next Elende of Eko – Ende in Osun turns violence at late hour on Thursday the 2nd of November, 2023.

Recalled that Oba Rauf Olaniyan Ajiboye Olaigbo VIII the Elende of Eko Ende joined his ancestors early this year while the Town has been without any ruler as all efforts in selecting the new Crown Prince to emerge the stool of the Land.

The two royal lineages who have the rights to the stool namely Olaigbo and Ayedun had been in a royal tussle as to whom emerged the king. This is because the late Elende was from Olaigbo while the next king should come from Ayedun which has 3 royal families of Obatiwajoye, Aromoye and Eesa-Osorun but the Eesa-Osorun left the stool before the immediate past King.Oba Rauf Olaniyan yet they insisited in contesting the stool which is uncalled for.

Massive protest mars the selection as some unscrupulous elements trying to impose a candidate to emerge contrary to the will and wishes of the People of Eko Ende. According to the source, the People of Eko Ende who were not happy with the imposition distrupted the selection as it was confirmed that one Mr Waheed Adekunle had influenced and indicted the Kingsmakers with the Sum of N80m and other merries.

The Concerned People of Eko Ende therefore call on the State Governor HE Sen. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke to kindly wade into action in the selection of the new Elende of Eko – Elende because the people of the town has no trust in the kingsmakers any longer, to avert unnecessary violence and loss of lives which might cause unrest and more violence in the town.
