The Lamwmaker representing Ijebu North East Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Seun Adesanya has advocated for the state government’s intervention on the Idomila/Rasanwa/Barracks road and other dilapidated roads in ijebu North East State constituency.

Adesanya made the appeal to the appropriate agencies and ministries of the state government particularly the Ministry of works and infrastructure led by the Commissioner, Engr. Ade Akinsanya on Friday during the 2024 Appropriation Bill defense by MDAs at the State House of Assembly.

According to the lawmaker, the dilapidated state of roads in ijebu North East and other parts of the state have led to accidents, resulting in deaths and injuries as well as exposing road users to attackers.

Adesanya, who regretted the hardship faced by users plying the Idomila-Rasonwa-Barrack road noted that the poor condition of the roads across Ijebu North East was slowing down the socio-economic development of the local government.

While calling on the executive arm of government to fix dilapidated roads and other critical infrastructurses across the state, Adesanya expressed optimism that the Assembly would do everything possible to ensure quality and effective road construction in the state through its oversight functions.
