The Super Eagles had a dinner with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Tuesday before departing for Côte d’Ivoire for the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The team was said to have arrived at the State House in Marina around 10 pm.
The players were in high spirits, dressed in tops inscribed ‘Let’s do it again’.
Amaju Pinnick, the Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ex-player Segun Odegbami, among other board members of the NFF, received the team with Sanwo-Olu.
All the players were present except Kelechi Iheanacho, who would join his colleagues in Côte d’Ivoire.
Coach Paseiro and technical team members were also present at the dinner.
