JUST IN: Kwara Govt begins construction of new bridge, diverts traffic

The Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport has today, February 6, diverted vehicular traffic from Challenge down to Olak Filling Station to pave the way for the commencement of construction of the Unity Roundabout Flyover.

In a statement by Sam Bola Onile, the Press Secretary, Ministry of Works & Transport, motorists and other road users are urged to make use of the alternative routes, which include Coca-Cola Road down to Stella Obasanjo and Ahmadu Bello Way to Police Road, UMTCA Church down to Offa Garage. Motorists coming from Emir’s Road down to Obbo Road can make a U-turn at Unity Road toward Coca-Cola Road.

Hon Abdulquawiy Olododo, the Supervisory Commissioner for the Ministry, appealed to the general public for the inconvenience this might cause.
