The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Osun state chapter, Com. Adetunji Ajala has maintained the stand of all the affiliated youth organisations in the state towards the state Congress held on the 6th April, 2023 at moremi hall, Abeere .

He made stand of the council known during the investigative closed door meeting at the state Intelligence Division, Osogbo, he said, in order to bring an end to the division caused by the external people regarding themselves as NEC, who lacks constitutional jurisdiction for representation.

These elements from neighbouring state and non council members were looking for a way to hijack the council, the statement reads.

The State chapter of the youth council remained one indivisible family and will not be moved by confusion and lies by some elements whose interest is fashioned to create problems so as to benefit from it .

Ajala commends the effort of the Nigeria police and will always work in partnership towards ensuring peace in the state.

“The youth of the state have affirmed their strong believe in the leadership of Com. Adetunji Ajala as the chairman of the council and any one parading as caretaker at any local government or state should desist from such act

He established that the activities of the supposedly caretakers and their sponsors remain illegal, non and void by the constitution of the National youth council of Nigeria 2018 as amended.

The chairman also added that the commissioner of youth and the Senior special Assistant to governor on civil society should take caution from sponsoring crises in the youth council in the state to ensure the dividends of democracy get to the youth of the state through the right channel
