Casualties Recorded As APC, PDP Members Clash In Oyo

The Oyo State chapters of the PDP and the All Progressives Congress clashed on Thursday in the Ile-Tuntun neighborhood of the state’s Ibadan South East Local Government Area, purportedly resulting in three fatalities and 13 injuries.

Fidel Info reports that Unknown numbers of cars and motorcycles are also said to have suffered damage.

Members of the APC were in a meeting at the party office in Iyana Court, Ile-tuntun, Ibadan, when PDP supporters driving by incensed them and started throwing things at them.

An eyewitness said, “PDP then got angry. And when retaliated, a leading member of the party and a member of the House of Representatives then picked a gun and fired gunshots at the APC members. That was what led to free for all.”

“The provoked attack saw many members of the APC injured with one of the party’s House of Assembly candidates escaped by the whiskers.”

The dead bodies have been evacuated to the morgue, while the injured ones were currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
