Benjamin Cremaschi has warned Inter Miami’s rivals that the Florida-based outfit, with Lionel Messi on board, are looking to “win everything” in 2024.

A historic Leagues Cup triumph was savoured at DRV PNK Stadium during the 2023 campaign, with eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi making an immediate impact in the United States. He is now the most-decorated player in football history, but the iconic Argentine has the hunger to win even more major honours.

That ambition is shared by all of those around him in Miami, with USMNT star Cremaschi eager to point out that Tata Martino’s side will be even stronger next season – with it possible that former Liverpool and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez will have joined their ranks by then. Cremaschi has said of collective hopes for 2024: “We know we’ll be stronger than we were this year. With all the games coming next year and a pre-season, we’ll be ready and well prepared to move ahead and win everything.”

Cremaschi was another success story for Inter Miami in 2023, as he enjoyed a breakthrough year, with the 18-year-old – who is of Argentine descent – loving every minute of working alongside Messi. He added on seeing the all-time great be named the best player on the planet once again: “It’s common for him to get the Ballon d’Or, but this one is different because he’s a team-mate. It’s crazy having him here and having him win another one.”

Messi is tied to a contract through 2025, which includes the option for a further 12-month extension, and he will be parading his latest Golden Ball at DRV PNK Stadium on Friday when Inter Miami take in a season-ending friendly date with New York City FC.
