Kogi Communal Clash: 1 killed, 30 houses razed

One Samuel Peter was reportedly killed while no fewer than 30 houses burnt down in a communal feud between Otukpo-Ojile and Ochi-Ibadan communities in Ankpa LGA of Kogi State.

The two communities had threatened each other for days before it snowballed into a serious crisis on Tuesday night, which led to the death of a youth leader in the area and the destruction of properties, including houses and motorcycles.

It was reported that aside from Samuel’s death, who hailed from Otukpo-Ojile, many other residents sustained different degrees of injuries.

Some inhabitants of the warring communities have fled to neighbouring communities for safety.
