AFCON 2023: Super Eagles return after final loss

The Super Eagles have returned to the Federal Capital Territory after losing to the host country, Côte D’Ivoire, in the final of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Diana-Mary Nsan, Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Sports, announced their arrival in a video on Instagram on Tuesday.

“At 12:30 am, the Super Eagles landed home, led by the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, and the NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

“On the tarmac, we had the GS of the NFF, Dr Sanusi, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports, Mrs Watti, among others.#AFCON2023 #SuperEagles.”

FidelInfo reported that the Eagles lost 2-1 to Côte D’Ivoire in the final of the 2023 AFCON.
