Ondo Guber: We’ll Continue To Engage All Aspirants To Unifying Party – APC National Secretary

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has said the party will continue to engage all aspirants and other stakeholders to have a unifying party ahead of the September 16 election.

Basiru disclosed this at the quarterly meeting of Osun Central APC in Osogbo, Osun state capital.

He said the party is ready for the gubernatorial election in Ondo State as they put all necessary mechanism in place to unite after primary.

According to him, Politics is about continuous engagement we would continue to engage all aspirants and other stakeholders to have a unifying party ahead of the poll.

He said, “We are good to go in Ondo state, the governor was given certificate of return on Monday, they were sixteen contestants, and the incumbent Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa was declared by Alhaji Usman Ododo the returning officer.

“Six petitions were received by the appeal committee and the only three of the petitioners actually came forward to admit their petitions and the evidence they presented for the allegations were heard not to sustainable and the chairman of the panel is no other person than the Mohammed Abubakar, a former governor of Bauchi and chairman of the panel who is also Senior Advocacy of Nigeria (SAN) upon the dismissal of the petition affirmed the victory of Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa.
