Dog Eats Owner’s $4000 Cash In US
A dog christened Cecil in Pennsylvania has reportedly eaten $4,000 cash owned by his owners.
BBC reported that the funds were meant to pay a contractor.
The owners, Cecil, Clayton and Carrie Law, found most of the chewed-up cash after assessing Cecil’s waste and vomit.
The vet who examined Cecil said he would be fine. He was said to have eaten a pricey snack after finding money left on the kitchen counter to pay for a fence installation.
“Suddenly Clayton yelled to me, ‘Cecil’s eating $4,000!’” Carrie Law told the Pittsburgh City Paper in an interview. “I thought to myself, ‘I cannot be hearing that.’ “I was on the verge of having a heart attack.”
“He’s very particular – you could leave a steak on the table, and he wouldn’t touch it because he’s not food motivated,” Carrie Law, a reporter for the newspaper, said. “But apparently, he is money-motivated.”
The couple carefully taped the broken bills and took them to the bank. Fortunately for them, the notes were accepted by the bank.
