Stabbing Spree: Man kills four in US

A man who went on a stabbing spree at several addresses in the US state of Illinois killed four people, including a teenage girl and injured at least five, police disclosed. 

According to Rockford City Police, the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, adding that a 22-year-old suspect was taken into custody.

The statement did not address the possible motive for the stabs. 

Rockford is about 90 miles northwest of Chicago.

The deceased include a 15-year-old girl, a 63-year-old woman, and two men aged 49 and 22, the police said.
