Dayout with AT: Adedayo Oderinu meets Irepodun youths

Published

on

An Osun-based Broadcast Journalist and Social Entrepreneur, Adedayo Oderinu, has charged youths to commit to Nation building through principled participation in politics, governance and social development efforts.

He made this known while speaking to Youths of Irepodun Local Government in Ilobu, on Sunday at his monthly Youth interaction programme, Dayout with AT. According to him, solving the problems in Nigeria will require an attitudinal change from every citizen, especially youths, who he advised to use their powers of mobilization, to drive social change in their respective communities.

Adedayo also advised students of tertiary institutions to ensure that they utilize their time in school to gather globally relevant skills that can help them stand out after school, emphasizing that getting a certificate is no longer enough to succeed in the current world.

‘Dayout with AT’ is a social development programme powered by the Noah Olawuwo Oderinu Foundation, to interact with young people across the 31 Local Government areas of Osun State, for the ultimate objective of building an interconnected youth community that can drive social change.

The President of the Foundation, Adedayo Oderinu, is committed to personally visiting the Local Governments to interact with and motivate youths to get involved in positive endeavours that will develop their lives and society

In ‘Thank You’, a track from his recent album, I Told Them, Burna Boy insinuated that Nigerians don’t appreciate him enough despite making the country proud “every chance I get.”

He said instead of Nigerians appreciating his invaluable musical contributions to the nation, they spread rumours that his mother was one of the dancers of the late Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti, and that impotency might be the reason he doesn’t have a baby mama like most of his colleagues
