NYCN Chairman Inaugurated As Member of Food Security Committee, Extolled Adeleke for youth Inclusion

The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State chapter, Com Ajala Adetunji David on Tuesday 20th of February, 2024 was inaugurated as a member of the Osun State Food Security Committee by His Excellency Gov. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke

The committee was inaugurated at the Exco Lounge, government House Abeere, which was set up to curb the hardship as a results of the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government, to suggest measures to strengthen food production and farm security and to expand farming activities through state incentives.

The chairman while addressing the youths after the inauguration extolled and appreciated Governor Ademola Adeleke for counting the Chairman who is an Agricultural expert worthy as the youth representative of the state, to provide review and offer new ideas on the operations of food, organize back to farm youth conference and to recommend further immediate actions to reduce economic hardship.

The food and Security Committee is to be chaired by the Commissioner for Agriculture: Hon Tola Faseru, Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs: Hon Ganiyu Olaoluwa, Commissioner for Home Affairs: Hon Rasheed Aderibigbe, commissioner for Transportation: Hon Olusesan Oyedele while Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport will act as Secretary

Other members include Commissioner for Women Affairs: Hon Mrs Ayo Awolowo, Special Adviser on Security: Hon Samuel Ojo, Civil Society representative: Com Olabisi Ayanfe, Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria Osun State chapter: Com Ajala Adetunji David, Hon Kolade Tunde who represented the private sector and Hon Sola Makanjuola among other members

The Chairman promised to bring his expertise on board and carry all necessary stakeholders along on the initiative and approaches that will ensure food security in the state.
