The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to defend the Students’ Loan Funds policy, noting that it is meant to ensure no student, regardless of their situation, is deprived of quality education.

Gbajabiamila said this when he received in his office a delegation led by Lucky Emonefe, the President of the Association.

He reiterated Tinubu’s determination toward the successful starting of the scheme, adding that the programme would be launched in the next few weeks.

The former Speaker also sought the support of Nigerians to ensure that no needy student who truly needed a loan was left behind.

Gbajabiamila further said, “Now we are going to need you in the success of this policy because, generally, it is a well-received policy, but there may be one or two segments of the society for the reason some people in some quarters may be kicking against it.

“This policy is for the Nigerian student; it is to make sure that no student is left behind when it comes to education.”
