We arrested DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch, Lagos police apologise

The Lagos State Police Command has apologised for the alleged arrest of a famous Nigerian disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, aka DJ Switch, saying there was a mix-up.

This medium reported that DJ Switch debunked reports of her being arrested by the Police in Lagos.

Numerous news media had reported DJ Switch’s arrest in the Elemoro area of Ajah, Lagos state.

However, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the State Police Public Relations Officer, who made the apology via his X formerly (Twitter) handle on Thursday, said that Iwuagwu Ebere Pat, popularly known as DJ Commissioner Wysei, was the person arrested and not DJ Switch.

He apologized to the news media for personally sending the misinformation.

He wrote, “There is a mixup from our end. The arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch.

“Apologies for all the inconvenience to a few media outfits like Linda Ikeji, BBC, and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning.

“Apologies to DJ Switch too.”
