Markaz Agege gets nod from NUC to award bachelor of arts degree

“Our journey to becoming a degree-awarding institution affiliate to the University of Ilorin” — Sheikh Habib Adam Abdullah Al-Ilory

The Markaz Centre for Undergraduate Studies Agege has gotten the National Universities Commission (NUC) nod for its four-year degree awarding programmes of B.A. Arabic and B.A. Islamic Studies, respectively.

Sheikh Habib Adam Abdullah Al-Ilory, the institution’s Director, who said this in a statement signed by his spokesperson on Special Matters, Nurudeen Ibrahim, added that the centre is looking forward to expanding soon.

According to the statement, the approved Centre is affiliated with the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State.

“The National Universities Commission (NUC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved Markaz Centre for Undergraduate Studies Agege for their 4 Years degree awarding programmes of B.A. Arabic and B.A. Islamic Studies.

“The centre is affiliated to the University of Ilorin. The centre is looking forward to expanding in the near future. Details will be released from the school soon,” the statement reads.
