Breaking News: Supreme Court Affirms Alex Otti As Governor Of Abia State

The Supreme Court has declared that Dr Alex Otti is the duly elected governor of Abia state.

The apex court, in its verdict, stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) doesn’t have a right to question the nomination of Otti by Labour Party.

The court said the PDP is ”crying more than the bereaved” in the case.

”PDP doesn’t have a right to question the nomination of Alex Otti by Labour Party. They are crying more than the bereaved. This appeal shouldn’t have been taken up to this level,” a Supreme Court justice said.

During the governorship election in the state, Otti polled a total of 175,466 to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the PDP who scored 88,526.
