I’ll bring knowledge acquired over the years in Lagos to FCT – Fasawe

The newly appointed FCT Mandate Secretary for Health and Environment, Dolapo Fasawe has pledged to bring the knowledge she acquired over 19 years in Lagos State service to national level.

In a statement released from her office in Abuja, Fasawe explained that her appointment was facilitated by record of achievements in the delivery of her core mandates and devotion towards building a sustainable environment in Lagos State.

She expressed her gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for giving her the opportunity to serve the people of Lagos State in the capacity as the General Manager in Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and also giving his blessings and support towards her new role as Mandate Secretary for Health and Environment in the Federal Capital Territory.

“This is a new dawn for me and would bring the learning and stewardship I have acquired over 19 years in service to Lagos State, to my dual capacity as Mandate Secretary for Health Services and Environment. It is indeed a great privilege and opportunity for improved outcomes in the concern sectors under my supervision,” Fasawe said.

She expressed her appreciation to the Minister for the FCT, Nyesom Wike for entrusting her with the great responsibilities

KWASACA seeks stakeholders’ support to end HIV/AIDS by 2030

In commemoration of the World Aids Day, the Kwara State Aids Control Agency (KWASACA) has sought the support of stakeholders to end HIV/AIDS by 2030, while undertaking an awareness campaign to celebrate the people living with HIV/AIDS in the State.

The World Aids Day is celebrated every 1st of December and the theme for this year was: “Let Community Lead To End HIV in 2030″.

Speaking during the exercise in Ilorin, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, who also doubles as the Project Manager, Dr. Alabi Seleem Babajide, said World Aids Day is celebrated annually to guide against stigmatization and seek freedom and fair treatment for people living with HIV/AIDs in the society.

Dr. Babajide stressed the need to sensitize the public that the virus still exists, hence, the precaution through the awareness campaign.

He implored the public to always show them love and care, adding that they should never be discriminated in the society.

Also speaking, the Head of Community System at the Agency, Oyedeji Olufemi, said the campaign was intended to mobilize the support of relevant stakeholders in their ongoing efforts to rid the society of HIV/AIDs by 2030.

The awareness campaign, which was carried out by the staff of the Agency and the people living with the disease, was taken through some strategic places in Ilorin metropolis, while handbills, condoms and other items were distributed to members of the public.

Cottage Hospital Iloffa on Friday took delivery of all the medical equipments requested by the Chief Medical Director, Dr.Ajibola.

The delighted CMD expressed his appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the opportunity through the provision of all necessary tools for quality healthcare delivery to the people of Iloffa and environs.

“You asked and the governor approved all the medical equipment from A to Z without leaving any item out.

“We at KW-HMB trust you to expand the healthcare delivery service of Cottage Hospital Iloffa to the good people of Iloffa and its surrounding communities.

The KW-HMB management team however used the opportunity of the equipment delivery to conduct monitoring and audit of the hospital records.

Oro rejoices as Kwara Govt delivers equipment to General Hospital Oro

General Hospital Oro was among the destinations of the management team of Kwara State Hospitals Management Board on Friday for the ongoing distribution exercise of hospital equipments.

The team joined the entourage of the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary (Perm Sec) Ministry of Health at the brief ceremony which was held to deliver medical equipment to the Hospital as approved by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

In attendance at the ceremony were the hospital CMD, Oro High Chiefs, Oro elders, youth leaders, members of the Oro healthcare committee, hospital staff and other stakeholders.

The people of Oro expressed their appreciation to the governor for upgrading and equipping the hospital so that Oro community and its environs can have easy access to quality healthcare service.
