BudgiT Foundation Holds Town Hall Meeting, Sets Agenda For Health Care In Nigeria

The BudgiT Foundation which is a subsidiary of the CTAP project dealing with the coordination of Budgit and connected development hold a Town hall meeting in Osogbo on Sunday, where the issues surrounding the health care service were discussed and the agenda set aside for the development of health care system in the rural area

The program which has representatives across the state of the southwest is aimed at understanding the state of health and the nature of the equipment and activities going on in the Primary, secondary, and tertiary hospitals in the state

According to Iyanuoluwa Bolarinwa who is the coordinator of the BudgiT Foundation in Nigeria said the purpose of this town Hall meeting is to discuss extensively with the community members across the state what is happening at the grassroots concerning state of health and the perfect picture of the problem

“Today’s town hall meeting will set the pace for us to meet with the necessary stakeholders and policymakers to discuss the issues with them and to explain to them what we have got from the community members about the state of things at Uniosun Teaching Hospital, State General Hospital at Asubiaro, all the primary health centers and the likes.

“While the government is making efforts, there should be a continuous effort to ensure that people have access to health and to ensure that government are able to do everything necessary for Nigerian to have access to qualitative health care” he explained.
