Kwara State Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s efforts towards making the state great again and sought improved welfare for the workers.

Comrade Saheed Olayinka, the Kwara NLC Chairman, made this call yesterday, February 7, at a meeting with Governor Abdulrazaq, where the latter briefed different segments of the state on developments in the country, including efforts of the government to ease things for the people.

He said AbdulRazaq was the first Governor to introduce palliative as a means of mitigating the burden affecting the commoner, especially the fixed-income earners, saying such was commendable.

However, he urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to do more for the workers in the State.

The fuel subsidy removal by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has plunged the country into untoward hardship and pains, with many Nigerians lamenting daily.

In relieving Nigerians of the pains that came with the subsidy removal, the Presidency and the state governments have rolled out palliative. At the same time, they also briefed the citizens on the government’s efforts.
