Court remands Adamawa lecturer for rape
A magistrates’ court in Mubi LGA has remanded Garandi Danjuma Ijudigal, a lecturer at the Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, in prison for alleged rape on campus.
Ijudigal was reported to have been caught pants down with a secondary school graduate in his office, which made the victim’s family file a case at the magistrates’ court.
The defendant is a lecturer in the Department of Geography and was charged before Magistrate Chivi Ali.
Sulaiman Ngurore, the spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, has confirmed the incident and stated that the family initially filed the case without a police report and that the court referred the matter to the police for proper investigation.
