Car Knocked Man Down While Escaping With Woman’s Foodstuffs In Abuja
A man, identified as Jamilu, was on Tuesday, February 13, knocked down by a car while trying to escape with a woman’s foodstuffs at the Kwali market in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
Witnesses reported that the incident happened around 11 am when the pretentious suspect offered to assist the woman in moving her foodstuffs from the market to board a vehicle by the roadside.
According to the witnesses, Mrs Patience Raphael, who owned the foodstuff, finished buying food items she packaged in a sack.
Ibrahim Audu, a witness, said the suspect pretended to help her to the roadside when she was trying to get a truck pusher to carry the sack.
He further said, “In fact, I was even the one that was trying to call a wheelbarrow pusher to come and carry the foodstuffs for the woman when the man came to help carry the load. As he was rushing to cross the road in order to escape with the load, he was knocked down.”
He added that the vigilantes took Jamilu to the hospital after he sustained bruises and a fracture.
