Police nab two Lagos traffic robbery suspects disguising as beggars
Police have nabbed two robbery suspects disguised as alms beggars in Lagos traffic gridlocks.
The arrested suspects approached a motorist in gridlock at Agungi area in Lekki on Friday, soliciting for alms, but forcefully took his telephone handset and jewellery and fled.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesman in Lagos State, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that the motorist immediately alerted a nearby police patrol team that arrested the robbers.
Hundeyin said, “The stolen items were recovered from them. The two suspects will be arraigned accordingly.”
